Born and raised in Ohio, Linda Silich has been an active runner and athlete, fitness instructor, personal trainer and motivating force of the health industry for many years across the US. Now as of May 2018, she achieved her Black Rank TRX status with TRX corporate based in San Francisco, CA.
Upon graduating from Wittenberg University in Ohio, Linda's past football cheerleading experiences, working out in the gym ignited her passion for fitness. She became certified with IDEA, now AFAA and started teaching group classes such as high intensity cardio kickboxing, aerobics, power yoga and spinning in northern Virginia where she lived at the time and also raised a family.
In 2000, she relocated and brought her passion of fitness to East Hampton, where she has continued to train small groups, taught indoor cycling at the original “The Zone” on Newtown Lane in EH, and then at Flywheel until finally branching out on her own as a Personal Trainer specializing in TRX/functional training using weights, medicine balls in 2010.
After chasing her passion for years and working in numerous studios, Linda founded and opened Silich Core + Strength in April 2014 specializing in functional training and becoming the only Premier TRX Licensed Facility in the Hamptons. She has built a powerhouse of a team of certified trainers and is grateful to have such a variety of group class offerings and personal trainers on board.
The Silich mission is to offer its clientele an energetic, motivating and personable environment. Our classes are taught by certified personal trainers in small groups to ensure proper technique and maximize results. You can now train like an athlete in the comfort of our modern, immaculate boutique studio.
A TRX strap is made from parachute straps that allows you work against your own body weight. You can perform a variety of compound exercise movements aiming to develop strength, balance, flexibility and joint stability all at the same time.
Because of its demands on your core, TRX suspension training essentially turns every movement into a total-body one, reducing the chance of injury. TRX is so adaptable for all levels that beginners and athletes alike can attend the same class with everyone achieving their desired workout at the end.
