Your Guide to flawless post-workout skin

Perspiring during and after your favorite Silichcore+ workout is sure to purify your skin. But breaking a sweat can cause the opposite to happen—irritation and redness, acne flare-ups and clogged pores—when you leave the salty stuff on your face to dry. Follow these steps to keep your skin clear and glowing after your workout:



Step 1: Wash with a gentle cleanser


Head straight to the sink after your Silichcore workout! Make sure your cleanser doesn't contain sodium lauryl or laureth sulfate which can dry out the skin. Instead, try a soothing wash like the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser and rinse with cool water.





Step 2: Pat (almost) dry


Pat your skin, don't wipe. Sometimes toweling off can irritate skin, particularly if your face gets really red when you workout. Pat away about 90% of the remaining water, then let the rest air-dry. This will help curb an otherwise tight and overly dry feeling.




Step 3: apply your favorite moisturizer


Calm your skin down with your favorite moisturizer to lock in hydration. If you're headed outside, don't skip on a moisturizer with SPF!



Step 4: Save serious treatment products for bedtime


Even normal skin can be more sensitive right after a workout, so you may want to wait until redness dissipates or bedtime to use your super-active acne or anti-aging treatment products.
